Dr. Arthur Evans
Honored in
Mariemont High School Distinguished Alumnus, Arthur Thompson Evans, III, M.D., is Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine. Dr. Evans is known nationally for his expertise in the field of Maternal Fetal Medicine and the management of diabetes during pregnancy.
Dr. Evans graduated from Mariemont High School in 1965 and went on to attend Harvard University. While at Harvard, Art rowed on the crew team and participated on the 1968 U.S. Olympic team in Mexico City. Art graduated from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine in 1974. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Mayo Clinic in 1978.
In addition to practicing obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Evans has held numerous academic appointments in maternal-fetal medicine. He is the recipient of many awards and honors, including being named to the “Best Doctors in America” list and “Teacher of the Year”. Dr. Evans is widely published in medical journals, is the co-author of the Manual of Obstetrics, and is a sought-after conference presenter. He is a trusted role model and mentor for young physician scientists and medical educators.
As a current resident, Dr Evans has been a strong advocate of the Mariemont community and school system.
