Sustaining Educational Excellence

Recognition Wall

The Mariemont School Foundation recently unveiled a new Donor Recognition Wall located at the High School near the auditorium entrance. This Wall provides a unique space to publically recognize the donors who have made significant cumulative contributions to The Mariemont School Foundation since 2009.  Designed by Mariemont resident and school alumnus Peter White of White Design Studio, The Recognition Wall features clean lines and a modern style that utilizes repeating geometric shapes patterned off the architectural design of the school. Interlocking diamonds highlight photographs of students with plaques delineating the giving level of each donor.

The Wall anchors the space between the auditorium entrance and the Spirit Walkway, another Foundation initiative that features personalized brick pavers honoring graduates, teachers, coaches and other supporters of the Mariemont schools. Students have come to appreciate the wall’s built-in bench since it creates a comfortable place to meet friends or parents near the school entrance. The Foundation Trustees are grateful to Peter White for his work in bringing this wall to completion, from design to construction and installation. Trustee Wendy McCracken was especially thankful to have The Wall completed during her tenure as Foundation President. She states, “We have wanted to publicly honor our key donors for many years.  After all, it is the donors who allow the Foundation to do its important work enhancing the experience our students have at the Mariemont Schools. Peter’s design is striking as well as functional and is a fitting tribute to our generous supporters.”
