Now Accepting Nominations for Distinguished Alumni

The Mariemont School Foundation and the Mariemont High School Alumni Association are seeking nominations for the Mariemont Distinguished Alumni Award. Visit our Distinguished Alumni page for more details and nomination forms. Nominations are due May 31, 2018.

The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes Mariemont High School alumni who have been graduated at least 10 years and who have notably distinguished themselves by their significant contributions and/or remarkable accomplishments in their chosen career, skill, trade or business; in civic duties; in military service; in philanthropy; in volunteerism; in the arts; in the sciences; in education; in religion; or any other endeavor or pursuit, including post-high school athletics. Nominees may be living or deceased.

Nominations will be considered by a committee comprised of Mariemont School Foundation trustees, Mariemont High School Alumni Association members and district officials. The number of recipients each year is at the discretion of the committee. Nominations will remain on file for five (5) years.

Distinguished Alumni Award recipients will be recognized during the Mariemont High School Homecoming weekend in the fall of 2018. A permanent dedicated space at Mariemont High School also honors recipients.

Mariemont City Schools will be welcoming renowned speaker Harlan Cohen to the district on April 10. Cohen will be speaking from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Mariemont Elementary auditorium. All parents and guardians are welcome at the event.

Cohen considers himself an expert on life transitions. He is a New York Times bestselling author of six books, a nationally syndicated advice columnist and a speaker who has visited over 400 college campuses.

During his visit to the district, Cohen will be expanding his talk to focus on teaching children to be resilient during transitions. Harlan will be speaking to our 6th, 8th, and 12th grade students separately on April 11 to help them with their upcoming transitions.

His speaking engagement is made possible through the Mariemont School Foundation and is funded by the annual Warrior Run.
