How one family is making a difference by supporting a new Spanish Language curriculum

TAS Family Foundation Grant to Underwrite New Spanish Program

The Foundation has recently established the Mariemont School Foundation Spanish Language Fund that will provide an annual gift to the District to underwrite the salary of a Spanish language teacher and curriculum.  The curriculum will provide Spanish language learning to K-8 grades, with the primary focus on teaching 3rd-6th grade students.

The establishment of this Fund by Terrace Park parent, T. Anthony Sullivan, Jr., honors the memory of Mr. Sullivan’s Father, Thomas Anthony Sullivan, Sr.  The elder Sullivan established the TAS Family Foundation more than two decades ago to support education, students and faculty.  The Foundation is privileged to be stewards of this new Spanish Language Fund to benefit the Mariemont School District.

The TAS Family Foundation gifts are an example of the new opportunities the Mariemont School Foundation now seeks to bridge the seriously growing gap between State funding and the actual financial requirements of the School District.
